As per government mandates- starting October 4, people aged 12 and over will need to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to participate in most events and activities that bring people together - Movie Theatres.
Please have your proof of vaccination and valid ID ready to show the Box Office staff as you enter the theatre.
A vaccination record contains your name, date of birth, and information about the COVID-19 vaccine you received. You can get it online at NovaScotia.ca/Proof or by phoning 1-833-797-7772.
Your proof of full COVID-19 vaccination can be saved and displayed on your mobile device or printed out.

Friday is the big day - our reopening day since being shut down by Covid - March 2020.
With Covid protocols currently in place, please except the following to occur:
- please wear your masks until you are seated in the theatre; just like when you go to a restaurant. If you leave your seat, please put your mask back on.
-we are currently able to seat at 50% capacity which is 90 seats so we recommend coming early as seating is limited.
-at the Box Office, you will answer a few Covid questions, select your seat on our seating chart, purchase your ticket and then sign in on the table next to the Box Office.
Debit and Credit are now available at both the Box Office and Canteen for the first time in Zedex History. Please have patience with us as it’s all new for us.
We are looking forward to seeing movie buffs again at the Zedex.
27 August 2021
We are extending the expiry date on PREPAID CARDS issued in 2019 that currently have an expiry date of December 2020.
We are offering a new expiry date of December 2021.
The year 2021 is projected to be a blockbuster year as delayed and new release movies will be available for your viewing pleasure.
Even more of a reason to come back to the Zedex Theatre.
OPENING PROCESS HAS STARTED!
As we are into Phase 4 of the Nova Scotia's Reopening Plan we are confident to open our doors to movies patrons once again.
Once the reopening process has been completed we will announce our opening date and movie line up.
Zedex Theatre continues to monitor covid related protocol and the release schedules on new movies from the movie companies.
Unfortunately at this time there is a limited supply of movies being produced and released to movie theatres.
Due to this issue we have decided to remain closed until further notice.
Please continue to check our website and Facebook page for updates.
To receive direct messages from Zedex Theatre please send us your email address to email@example.com.
At this time, no COVID cases have been related to movie theatres in Canada.
In preparing for re-opening, we have been working on the following items in keeping with COVID related protocol:
As soon as our booker notifies us that more new release movies are available, we look forward to welcoming you back to the Zedex Theatre.
We hope to see you in the near future.
The Zedex Theatre will unfortunately be delaying its re-opening until a later date when movie studios start releasing new movies for your viewing pleasure.
As we are unable to book new release movies we will remain closed.
Canadian Theatre Associations are lobbying to convince studios that movies should not be held back from release in Canada because cities in North America
are struggling with Covid 19.
We will continue to keep you updated.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
We too are disappointed.
Your health and safety are our priority.
We are awaiting approval to re-open and hoping it will be soon.
We are updating our technology, restocking our inventory and disinfecting our spaces.
Keep checking our website/social media for more information.
